Forklift ("the app") is a nutrition and calorie tracking app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: Forklift does not have any servers, accounts, or analytics. All of your data stays on your device.
We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. Forklift has no backend servers, no user accounts, and no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software.
The app stores the following information locally on your device only, so it can function:
This data is kept in a private database inside the app's storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Forklift includes an optional feature to scan a nutrition label using your device's camera. When you use it, the camera image is processed entirely on your device using on-device text recognition to read the nutrition facts. Camera images are not stored by the app and are not sent off the device. The camera is used only while you are actively scanning a label, and only after you grant camera permission.
Forklift does not send your nutrition, weight, or goal data over the internet. The app's on-device text-recognition component (a standard Google library) may declare network permissions as part of its packaging, but Forklift itself does not use the network to transmit any of your information.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to third parties, because we never receive it in the first place — it stays on your device.
If you have Android's system backup enabled, your app data may be included in your device's automatic backup to your own Google account, the same way other apps' data is. This backup is controlled by you through your device and Google account settings, not by Forklift.
Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove entries within the app, and you can delete all app data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
Forklift is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
We may update this policy if the app changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
